{"id":860,"date":"2020-06-04T23:05:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-04T23:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/suplos.com\/?p=860"},"modified":"2025-07-09T21:59:21","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T02:59:21","slug":"supply-chain-transparency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/suplos.com\/en\/supply-management\/supply-chain-transparency\/","title":{"rendered":"Transparency and traceability as a direct complement to supply chain efficiency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Throughout the years, the supply chain has been measured contemplating the variables of quantity, time and cost as primordial to determine the degree of efficiency that it has in our organization.&nbsp;<strong>In particular, cost has been the most important indicator determining success or failure.<\/strong>&nbsp;This is the first factor in all managerial decisions seen from the point of view of the economic results of the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Normally the data obtained is applied directly to the comparison between budgets and value of purchases, but not to the direct implication on the timely entry of projects required by the company or correct operation without delays, seen as opportunity cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key factors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two fundamental factors that determine the success of supply management and that today have become highly valued within the rules and dynamism of a chain facing its strategic position within the organization:<strong>&nbsp;transparency and traceability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By connecting internal organizational requirements and market supply, the supply chain must undoubtedly comply with the principle of the \"supply chain as a whole\".&nbsp;<strong>transparency<\/strong>&nbsp;that&nbsp;<strong>The internal and external confidence of the supply stakeholders can be increased, by establishing&nbsp;<\/strong>The supply and demand rules are adequate to obtain the best results, supplying goods and services that adapt to the real needs of the company, taking from the market products and alternatives that result in competitive differences for the benefit of the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transparency is not limited to an ethical process with clear rules, but becomes relevant in corporate responsibility issues and at the environmental level as a fundamental axis of corporate behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, the&nbsp;<strong>traceability<\/strong>&nbsp;becomes the integrating factor of the chain where the different internal areas directly involved in the management are empowered, not only of their link but also of the final result.
